BEARD TRANSPLANT
Lush growth of facial hair is experiencing somewhat of a renaissance almond man. The rich beautifully trimmed beard and moustache are now highly fashionable and in some communities for example hipsters and lumbersexuals beards are regarded as a fetish.
Currently beard transplantation represents the only solution that can achieve a reach beard growth, even for baby faced men or men with incomplete facial hair. Men who are genetically challenged, lack of facial hair can be reminded by transplantation.
The technology is the same as with hair transplant. A hair sample is extracted from the nape. The beard part of the chin normally can provide enough hair.
How much hair is needed for a beard transplant?
The number of grafts needed is determined by measurement and requirements.
Usually 200 grafts per side is the norm. If facial hair requires replacement, usually 1 graft fountains 1 hair follicle.
Sometimes, the amount required is 500 per side. If this is the case the chin-coat would not provide a sufficient number of follicles so the maximum removable number of beard grafts next to hair follicular units obtained are used and planted together in the area of the cheeks depending on the size and desired beard line. The entire beard is built mostly of hair which can mean 2000 hairs on the cheeks depending on the size and desired beard line.
Beard transplant planning:
There can be many causes for incomplete beards: stress, medication, inflammation of the face-neck area (dental inflammation) but sometimes it can be traced back to simple genetic causes. It is, of course, important to clarify the cause and only then can we plan the beard implants.
From small coin size replacements, usually the right amount of hair is available under the chin line. The hairs on the neck can ensure that the gap will have the same quality hair as the surrounding beard.
Larger facial hair replacement:
Building full facial hair or filling larger gaps in the cheeks is done with hairs extracted from the nape.
Exclusion of follicular units during hair transplants also using the Safe System or Trivellini FUE method are used to ensure maximum results. It is important to note that the fibres transplanted from the hair, after a while on the facial hair, will mimic the beard character, so they also replace larger areas implanted with hair and , of course, will look natural in time.
The process of beard transplant:
We plan the beard around your requirements. This depends on whether you want to remove hair follicles from a smaller or larger area. After selecting the appropriate donor region, we cut the desired length of hair, then we apply local anaesthesia. It is the same method as used in hair transplants. The appropriate grafts are removed painlessly and transplanted to the desired area. The follicle implants mimic the natural properties of beard hairs taking note of individual characteristics.
